TMS Announces Executive Branch Fellowship Focused on the Materials Genome Initiative

TMS is inviting applications to a prestigious new fellowship with placement in the White House Office of Science and Technology (OSTP) and positioned as a key element in fostering a new era of U.S. innovation embodied by the Materials Genome Initiative (MGI). The TMS MGI Fellow will work with senior OSTP and Administration officials to develop and implement policies related to the MGI. This will include synthesizing materials science and engineering information relevant to policy issues, presenting analysis to senior policy makers, and recommending data collection needs and requirements to assist in the policy development process. In addition, the TMS MGI Fellow represents OSTP to other government agencies and will work closely with the National Science and Technology Council Subcommittee on the Materials Genome Initiative. Sponsored by TMS, this Fellowship is part of the American Association for the Advancement of Science & Technology Policy Fellowship Program.
